i sugest not to blast all if you have small regions of rust. The body is not galvanised but it has some protection layer on it.And that is gone with regular blasting. You will have to see how much rust you have in it and also how your "quattro weldings" did all this time.Comment

Thank you Bogdan! I am thinking at this also! Actualy...the welds from the tunnel wich i done when i modified the chasis for the quattro drivetrain...are ok...
The subframes....brakes...suspension...etc are very rusty. Also...under the jacking points is alot of rust...those small parts i have to change...
I will make some pictures with the tunnel welds and the rest...maibe will help you a little for your projects!

Some photo will be good.Mine is quattro now.Working at rear wheel arches now,and need to clean all and apply sprayable ruber protection, paint, engine, loom etc.More to do..
The only fxxxing things i can not order are engine mountings brackets(mine was 1.8 so engine was not staying on longitudinal members)
I will have to take of the 2 of them from the quattro donor but they are very well welded
You need to post more photo.

My God!!!! How much work.... spend today 14 hours trying to clean the inside from the sealing compound i have put in after the quattro modification....
Wy i was soo stupid....Never ever use something like that iff you know you will have to remove at 1 point....
I used some self adhesive tarr with aluminum foil on top..maibe you know...
I will send the body for blasting...
I hope will be ok....
I will post some pictures with what i have done today....my hands are killing me now.

Use a small gas torch and all interior flor insulation is off in max 2 h
.It comes off easy when hot.For the under flor insulation(a ruber compound)i used an angle grinder with a wire brush on it.But a very rough one.The wires are aprox 1mm.You grind untill you see metal and the protection layer and stop.If you go forward you get to clear metal and you should not if not the case.
This may help some one, because i tried to remove the interior insulation without heating it and i finished the left rear flor in aprox 40 min...Comment

The original floor insulation is easy to remove....but on top of that...i added this self adhesive tarr...is like the one used to cover the houses....but with an aluminum foil on top...that is the one wich is difficult....is way to sticky...and iff i heat'it...will melt and transform in an more sticky compound....
