tested the spacers today - 5mm between the caliper and bracket, and 2,5mm between bracket and hub
i have to shorten the stock bolts for about 1cm as they are touching the disk

the caliper is pretty well centered to the disk

plenty of space between the caliper and rim, about 3-4mm

and more than 5mm space between the spokes and caliper

just the pads and hardlines and i join the club

Are you sure to have all the brake forces on those bolts now? To me those spacers are a bit too much to my likings.

as long as the bolt is strong enough the spacer doesn't matter

i ordered the OE big reds bolts at Audi that are 5mm longer, the exact thickness of the spacer. the other bolts will be OE Audi brake bolts.

If i weld the spacers to the bracket will there be any difference? dont think so...

im having problems fitting the pads in the calipers, as the pad plates are bent, and the bolts seized. i hope to make some progress today...

meanwhile, i fitted all 4 mudflaps. they are for a normal b4, so they needed some tweaks, but now they fit nicely, but they are something less than 2" from the ground
                        they rub everywhere, speedbumps etc...

next step, a bullet in my head, or a hole in my pocket...

to remove the pad plates bolts i had to weld other bolts on them...

                              this is the worst part:

and this is how the other ones look like...

                                that'll clean up ok

Pistons and seals look ok, take them out and get them bead blasted and powdercoated - like new again
