It will fit the head without mods like in the pik below (just hung it on in my garage cos it looks good) but this puts it too far back to clear the body so it needs to come forward and that means rotating 2 flanges.
looks good once its on though
Oh and I have to say, your car is awesome
What other plans you got for more power?
For my 16v quattro I got an abf from a gti which is an efi 16v for a bit more power along with tubular manifold, just wondering what you were thinking of doing?
The start of a Audi 16v TB conversion (NOW FINISHED)
I have just started my TB conversion on a audi 2.0 16v with mega squirt.
Here are some picks of the inlet manifold being built

think there is one on audifans as well, most of the images are gone though, I believe a few folk have some saved elsewhere.
for the engine i was thinking of an ABF too. at what stage are you with it? do the engine mounts fit from an ACE? can the EFI injectors be placed in the ace IM? how difficult is to wire an VW ECU into an audi?...
Ehh-I have bought 20v exhaust manifold, complete abf engine and ecu with wiring loom.
My car has a 6a currently
My plan was to swap the 6a engine mounts onto the complete abf engine (and that should just allow it to bolt in), have a look at the flywheels and probably bolt the 6a flywheel onto the abf block.
I was going to use the abf intake manifold, it has better flow I believe, decent tb and also avoids this issue with cooking the tps on the tubular manifold, will require a tight 90 elbow to stock airbox location.
Wiring wise I am currently stripping the abf wiring loom down to just the ecu loom as it has lights etc in the engine bay loom. Dont know how it will match up with the audi fusebox, was going to look at the wiring diagrams next, kinda figured ecu runs engine, so wiring from ecu to engine will be ok, wiring from ecu to fuel pump etc if it drives them shouldnt be to hard to sort and the wiring to the dash if it doesnt plug in then just splice the current engine wiring onto the abf.
Looking at what the golf guys seem to be getting I think it could be a nice little package for not to much work/money, 180bhp seems to be achievable fairly easily, more with some work and over 200 on itbs.
However I just picked up a pranged s2 so my abf engine is going in my mates corraddo and im hopefully gona fix the s2 so we will see what happens with the 80.
If you wanted to use the stock manifold I have read about people putting cis injector seats into an abf manifold to run cis so logic would follow that removing the cis seats and installing digi ones would allow you to do this?
ok, i will read your post a couple of times to get it
what is the tps? cis is the ke-jet injectors? i hope the digi injectors seats will fit into the ace IM. then a custom "flute" (the fuel rail on the IM).
i also wonder if the audi BC would work on the abf ecu.
tps is throttle position sensor, on some throttles there is a big plastic box on the bottom, when the tubular manifold is installed it can be quite close and also the manifold is hot, this pik shows the clearance on 6a? throttle and it has more clearance than the ace
cis is the k-jet system (Continuous Injection System)
yesterday it was a good day to get some work done, the miss is away so lets do it
here we go. first cut away the 5. tube
the weird thing about this manifold is that the metal is not 100% stainless, and 3 flanges are made of steel, 2 of stainless look at the pic below and you will notice the difference. the mystery of german engineering.
2 flanges removed, almost too easy...
so the plan is to bolt up the 2 flanges, bolt up the EM with the 2 other flanges, spot weld them and take them it to a pro welder.
