well.. since the coupé (thread here) decided to screw me over I had to concentrate on it for a while.. haven't really even thought so much on the sedan lately.. but when a colleague of mine (THANKS Göran!) gave me a bench-sander/grinder (dunno what it's called.. a bench tool with 2 rotating grindstones on each side..) I got to work on the linkage and it was just as Aron said.. easily done <: getting the sphere to fit after just.. just.. grinding the "catcher" down to fit was another matter but easily fixed with a clamp tool!

It's been a long time since I updated this thread.. there's been a lot of things taking focus away from the sedan.. work/gf/life-in-general.. and also the coupe has thrown some tantrums <:


Anyways.. I hope to soon begin building the engine for the sedan.. I've gathered almost everything I need.. the recipe for the build.. has changed.. a couple of times <;


This is one of the last pieces for the current (and hopefully final) engine recipe:




The parts I'm waiting for now are things like gaskets and such.. plus IC / injectors and an engine management system.. we'll see when it arrives <:


I hope to be posting something more exciting soon(ish) !


And as always, thanks to (in any order) Markus, Pelle and Tony. Tony should have an award for managing to still push me to get something done after all this time <: perhaps I made the right choice when I brought him along to buy the car then <;

Thanks mate! It's been neglected tho as I have another car and well.. a job.. a life (: .. I hope to begin re-assembly as soon as possible now and do the car justice!

If you want to know some history of this S2 you can try to contact Mr Koraszewski which was the 1st owner as I heard (or have you spoke with him already?)

Yes, I have talked to him a couple of times.. but trust me.. there is nothing left of the car he built (;

Progress is steadily slow, but still progressing (: I'll see what I can do in the beginning of 2011.
