The wiring plugs from vag afaik are now NLA as i've been trying to get them for a while?

Are you sure they are still available as if so i'd pay you to get me a pair so I can wire mine in.

I know that the RS2 original loom is not available anymore.. what I ordered is the plugs+cables that connects to the loom that resides inside the doors (behind the doorcards) and then I cut/remove the white porsche connector from the mirror and solder the cables (well.. actually just the pins from the cables I bought) and fit the new plug and connect it to the loom in the door = \o/

Ah ok think thats what has been suggested for me to do with mine, I've just been trying to source the oem plug if I can.

Yeah, I know.. I've been doing the same but I've given up <: funny thing tough... I saw the adapters @ ebay.de just a couple of days before buying the mirrors... SHOULD HAVE THOUGHT AHEAD >: (I searched for "rs2 porsche adapter")

any chance of a direct link, i've just searched under rs2 porsche adapters (including descriptions) and apart from getting annoyed with exhaust sections I could not find them

I cannot find it myself at this time, but I promise you I've seen 'em.. if/when I find 'em I'll give a link.. but i mean.. even with them you need to solder a bit.. so why not just do as I have?

Last night me and Tony fitted the RS2 side mirrors, looks nice! <:


On a more sad note.. my steering wheel onversion leaves some thing to desire.. like working HEADLIGHTS >: cant understand it.. I re-checked my wiring and I cant find my mistake.. does anyone have ANY idea? only the wee ones work.. the "parking light" (in direct translation from swedish).. position indiators perhaps? any ideas?

The S2 to RS2 loom is easier to adapt than replace with the RS2 item, I have one RS2 loom on one side and one adapted on the other and removing the old loom takes more time then crimping the existing.

Got the headlights working! the guide @ audiforum on how to switch from the old style airbag steering wheel to the newer kind only takes you 99% of the way.. there's one obstacle not mentioned it that how-to.. I thought I'd make a faq of my own later.. anyways.. I'm a happy bunny! <:

edit: one more problem to solve before reg/mot.. I seem to lack reverse-lights (dunno the exact term.. the white lights that are activated by putting the car in reverse).. I'm hoping for an easy solution!

hehe, yeah.. I was actually planning on having that done.. but first REG/MOT, then engine build.. then interior + repaint!
