Great story Andy - I respect the approach you've taken with the car - a similar route to that which i'm following, sorting out all the wear and tear items and concentrating on the chassis before chasing power

Do you think you'll ever polybush it? I know its still a day to day road car, but i wonder whether poly wishbone and subframe bushes might be a better compromise for control that OEM rubber w/bone bushes and alloy s/frame mounts?

Care to share any info RE: the potential 22mm ARB for the rear :mischeif:

22mm RARB is off a really basic 80, I found it in the family album.

As the wishbones are fairly new front and rear I'm going to leave them for now but a set of cast wishbones and poly bushes at a later date. Rear subframe was rebuilt 18 months ago so I'm going to leave it for now. 3 of the front subframe bushes are 6 months old but as one needs replacing I quite fancy trying the increased castor ones instead. When things get a little squishier I'll start on the Polybushing.

AC bolt was one that went into the block, best replace them with shorter bolts.

I think I've gone through a front wheel bearing in just over a year. Getting a low rumble/grinding noise when turning right with load on (fast roundabout, spirited B road). Oh well!

Got more goodies coming in the form of a set of DS2500s for the front (replacing the ones I fitted in October last year ) The old ones did 10 laps of the 'ring, 2 sessions at Combe and a day at Donington... they were absolutely ripped to shreds by the grooved discs that I have fitted. I got the new ones from Circuit Supplies at the absolutely bargainous price of £96+ Vodka & Tonic. These will be matched up to some plain discs ready for my next track excursion later in the year.

I've also completed the catch tank installation except for a boost leak test although the GTech is reading a health 240bhp ATW.

The track tyres are getting fitted to the OZs tomorrow (I hope) and the Eagle F1s are going onto the old Dezents (that I'm in the middle of refurbing ). Going to scrub the track rubber in for a week or two.

                    Still to do:-

                    Braided brake hoses
                    Brake fluid
                    Prop centre bearing
                    Passenger wheel bearing
Move engine back a bit or fit offset subframe bushes
Attach the bumper at the front proper like as it's a mess
Get the Milltek DP and sports cat fitted
                    Fit the 7A inlet cam
Await some newer vintage ABY NI based homebrew

Oh, and give the old girl a bloody good wash and wax!

Ordered today, if they're less than 2Kg I'll get them tomorrow, more and it'll be Monday. Great price though so worth the wait.

Indeed, my local chap wanted £200 for them but £110 for MIntex CTECH 1144s, I was tempted.

Got a bit of a squeak coming from the rear pads under light braking, I suppose that's the price you pay for more aggressive pads

yeah, i'd steer clear of those M1144's, had them on the standard S2 brakes and they were wooden and ate the discs

£96 for Ds2500 is awesome...I'll remember that for mine.
