  • I think you should stick with your current Rims

Are you planning on using uprated drop links?

    • those ATS rims look to be the same as used on the apollo gumpert, and if they are good enough for that they should be good enough for an RS2=)

      • Jamo: i swear, i will cut the ARB in half before i send it to you, since youĀ“re coming with such bad ideas they are ugla and too narrow (if we are talking about the 18")

and yes, the droplinks will have m10 uniballs and 22x3 seamless pipe

        Fish: hopefully they will do

        • I have been to the workshop

First i have ditched the 034ms upper springseat because it does not fit.. will make my own spring seats and combine with 034 camber/caster plate
so i have cut of the old "seat" and will make a new one instead, cannot do more tahn this before i have bought material and springs..

Then i started to fit the front fenders, also cut up the air vents in 1 before i went home.
Will be more vents in the fender, only the beginning on the vents though, loads of work left ( i freaking hate GF, itĀ“s itchy.. )

i also took down the Rear arb, also noticed that the gas tank might be in the way for my Knife arb, what to do? Fuelcell or leave the whiteline arb on the car?

          thats all for today!

          • Update, not so funny maybe but anyways..

got up at 7 this morning (yes that is early for me that is home all day long atm)

went to the workshop and started to cut out the other sides vents and sanded them..

there will be many pics on them, but i love em so much so you will have to deal with it

During the cutting of the second fender:

Finished and testing it on the car

            1 more

Then i started to prep them for paint, lay on some filler(?)

Passenger side were in pretty bad condition..

            Drivers side were better

hopefully i will sand them down tomorrow and lay on 1 more layer of filler
then i need to take the car down from the lift beacuse in the weekend there will be exhaust build on a 500bhp twinturbo golf mk4 and after that change a rear ARB on a 05 s4 avant

Knife ARB parts sent today, and 140N/mm springs will be sent next monday to me

            • Carbon hood 4,5kg without vents

              OR

GF hood with SQ wents over turbo 6kg

Same price... Maybe cut a vent in the carbon hood?

                    SkĆ¼ll: Nope no BILSTEINS

i am leaning against the CF one, then the score is 1-1

                          • Got my front springs and top hats today

Going to Work in Norway from next week and forward, 14days there and 14 days off, nice

So as soon i know the exact width and ET of the rim, an order will be placed

                            The stuff:

                            2x 178mm long 148N/mm springs
                            2x 2,5" top hats
2x needle bearings that will sit between spring and top hat.

                              • Wow, though springs! 148 N/mm equals 825 lbs/"
I like the idea of the needle bearings.
And i am curious how you are going to mount the front ARB blades aswell
