Lean one
So, to resume:
Hardware is as follows:
- 200 20V with 3b engine, rebuilt
- RS2 turbo
- RS2 EM
- original 3b airbox with additional 80mm hole in the bottom
- big FMIC
- standard 220v exhaust, no cats
- 4 bar fuel pressure regulator
- RS2 replica injectors from 034
- RS2 software for 3b
- motorola 3bar map sensor
Car is strugling to make boost, mixture goes completely lean (I have AFM on standard o2 sensor) as soon as I press more that half a throtle.
Car eventually makes 0.8 bar, but I'm afraid to hold WOT for more that 2-3 seconds with such a lean mixture.
I tried swaping:
- 2 different fuel pressure regulators
- 2 different versions of software
- RS2 fuel pump
No result.
Any opinions ? Could it be bad MAP sensor ? Is reads 0.7 on the dash where original map used to read 1 (with engine not running), but I guess it's to different scaling.
Thank you,

And my self-replies go on ...
Did a little bit more testing today: mounted fuel pressure gauge, and it seems to be ok: some 3.7 bar at iddle, and raising with boost. But car just refuse to go ... until some 5000 rpm.
So, until some 5000rpm I have almost no boost (less that 0.5 bar) with air/fuel meter completely on lean side (unfortunately, I don't have wide band). But once after 5000rpm, boost raise to 1.55bar and she rocket herself.
I am really out of ideas what could that be other than map totally unadjusted to my hardware (7a exhaust cam and big FMIC in particular).
Opinions, please ?
Thank you,

I have one of those air/fuel meters connected to stock lambda sensor. It only have lean/normal/rich scale, but it can give you some perspective what is going on. But even if it's totally inacurate, my "butt-sensor" tells me car isn't going anywhere.

I bought software from a guy on german Meckis forum. He said it's been "made by MTM, 360HP/540NM, 1.9 bar overboost and 1.3 at 7.000 rpm", but who knows ... Too bad it's such hard to find 3b software, hope Paul will improve that soon.
