OK friends, too much time without updating this thread....

now my next step it is make a "downgrade" in my S2 3B. in the gearbox

i am so bored of my 01A ARV box,so i will uninstall it for use a top condition 01A ASZ box. this quattro box comes from the Audi coupe quattro 2.3 20v 125Kw , 170HP

Those special gearboxes only were used in this specific cars ,coupe version only¡

internally it is just the same strong or weak as the ARV boxes, but they are suposed in better conditions that the ARV´s because the 3B engines made much more torque than the 7A coupe quattro versions ,so i hope to can use it for a longgggggggg time.

aniway it could be rebuilded internally with more strongers parts....

i am complete sure that it is a superb nice upgrade with S2 3B cars because most of people hate the hyper long gear ratios in these cars.......because who wants to drive over 250km/h .....

here are the comparisons between ARV vs ASZ gearboxes:

    ARV:
    final ratio 4.11
    1st gear = 3.500
    2nd gear = 1.842
    3rd gear = 1.222
    4th gear = 0.903
    5th gear = 0.714

    ASZ : final ratio 4.11
    1st gear = 3.545
    2nd gear = 2.105
    3rd gear = 1.429
    4th gear = 1.029
    5th gear = 0.838

    both uses 240mm clutch discs

another diference it is that the ARV uses 108mm driveshafts and the ASZ uses 100mm ones, but this is not a problem in my situation because all it is plug/play,so i will use my ARV 108mm driveshafts with ASZ gearbox......

ARV gearbox it is very near to 300km/h in 5th gear and 7000rpm
ASZ gearbox it is very near to 250km/h in 5th gear and 7000rpm

so i think that it is a much more fun gearbox than ARV,the only main problem could be the long cruises......for the fuel fuel economy, because for example with ARV gearbox for cruise at 140km/h you need to go at 3200rpm +/- and with ASZ you have to rev to 3800rpm ...but who wants fuel economy with a vitamined S2??
i will go slower for continue keeping the same fuel economy crusing at 120km/h

i´´ve tested this gearbox in another friend with S2 3B complete stock with 220hp...and... after drove it i could think that i was using a remaped S2 with 280hp¡¡ only thanks to the ASZ box.
without any mod to do,all plug/play.

i can start to imagine how fast could be my car with +/- 400hp and now with this gearbox..... the acceleration could be similar to the a 460hp car with ARV/CGR boxes...for sure... anyway in the german autobhans they would kick my *** after 250km/h

i will report you something whem i have all finished and tested

    Hi friend!

I don't like very much oiled air filters in cars who have a MAF with platinum filament becouse the filter oil put over the platinum filament and the oil "burns " and dirty it...and when you stop the engine, the MAF tries to clean by pirolitic(pirolisis) the platinum filament but the oil "burned" make varnish very difficult to clean by the MAF

when I had a green filter on my old 2.2 coupe( I oiled each 5000km and cleaned and oiled about 10.000km) after the filter, over the plate measurer (plato sonda) there are some dust...and the filters was brand new...

the best for the street engine's life, in my oppinion, is the oem paper filter becouse how many horses could you win with a oiled filter?? not many, and your car is for street use....and how many horses have you got?? around 370-400...the lost of horse power when you use oem filter is very small compared with the health of your engine

I have paper mann filter with Aby air box, I clean it over 5.000km and i change it about 10.000km....or if you want, you can change it over 5.000km

    Bye
