Thanks! I started on Friday night after work and got to the point you see now on Sunday night. I didn't devote 100% of the day to this so I don't know exactly how long. It seem like around 18 hours maybe?
Thanks again!
Every 90q here in the US came from Audi with white blinkers so I took them off and now I have orange to be different.
You've heard the saying "the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence"?? I do like the white blinker though!
Good! I'm trying to take as many pictures as I can during all this so everyone can see what I'm up to. I am equally as curious about the S2/RS2 underbonnet.
I haven't touched it since Sunday night. It should only take me a few hours to finish her up. I'm definitely over the hump and on the downhill side at this point.
I'm going to spend a couple of hours with her tomorrow night. We'll see how far I get!Comment

Much appreciated Hank.
Glad the brackets worked out for ya. Life is keeping me extremely busy recently and I had forgotten that I had sent those to you until yesterday. It just popped in my head and I was wondering how they work out for you. Good to hear!

Tom,
Another emotional roller coaster ride while reading the thread.
Sorry for your initial engine trouble, envious of not only the media cabinet (as you know), but the four poster lift, in a garage, and then admiration for the very efficient quick clean up of the engine, quick strip down of the donor car and the quick install of the engine.
Fair play to you.
Hope the new engine is as good as you want / need it to be.
Great pictures BTW.
Looking forward to updates on both your threads.
Continued good wishes.Comment

Thanks so much for the kind words David. I'm glad you are enjoying the threads and all the pictures. I've enjoyed putting them together almost as much as doing the actual work on these projects.Another emotional roller coaster ride while reading the thread.

BTW, I will have some new RS2 pictures soon. I just need to reserve some time to get back to that project. I'm really ready to have some significant forward movement with the RS2. Soon, soon, soon.

Last weekend I had some time to put an end to this project. I really want to get back to working on the RS2. I know, I know.....if I wasn't such a picky SOB I would have been finished some time ago!
I continued connecting up the coolant and intake hoses. I, of course, can't help but wiping down everything as it goes back on the car.

My high pressure (aka J-hose) hose had been seeping for a while now so I replaced it with a new one from Audi. 500USD...Ouch!

Putting the remaining plastic covers on the fuel rail and firewall bracket that holds the electrical connectors were the final touches on this project.

On to the RS2 project.
