how do you get it turned down , obviously dont run massive boost but i guess its in the map as well, do any of the "generic chips" cover this ,

Yeah, s2central can provide an RS2 homefry map which works with stock rods and MRC (who are a favoured remapper along with s2central) have one also.

The RS2 turbo if let loose could rip out trees in the torque department, that's what makes it such a good turbo as it was specially designed for the I5 engine

The newer turbos like the 2871 & 3071 can't match it in this department but can supply air over the complete rev range of the I5 engine up to redline which is why they produce more bhp and also due to ball bearing technology spool very quickly.

yea got a 28rs on my 20vt rallye awesome turbo for an 1800cc

well as in earlier posts my plan for future is more power
but maybe for the first year just a simple rs2 bolt on conversion with chip
do an engine rebuild with scatt rods run 044pump and 3"exhaust
at least then i can go from there with gt30+

If you got scat rods make sure you balance your set ( you know this though ). We have found issues with some as they can be up to 30g out of each other!

                    yea no worries

the reason i say about rs2 setup this year as a forum member has offered me a car in my wanted advert that has some rs2 goodies with it just not fitted.
another member has offered me a standard car which is a blank canvas for a gt30+ project
