Have been having a few issues with the car as it keeps stalling. Have now found the reason. The intake manifold does not sit quite square. This results in one of the fuel injectors not being seated properly. More work arghhhhh!
On a more positive note, I got around to getting the front bumper sorted. This together with the trim going back on make the car look less conspicuous and has made a big difference to the look IMHO.
Unfortunately, the damage Field caused to the car when he smashed the car up on the test run all those years ago now means the n/s wing does not sit quite square. Will need to go on a jig to get sorted properly :cryin:
All that's needed to finish now is to do a little cutting under the bonnet to get that air filter installed, get the bumper repainted and re-fit the last bits of trim. Yippee!
I've not had much use out of the car lately. Gave the car in to sort some electrics and tidy up the interior. Would you believe the guy doing it knackered hos back and could not touch it for 2 weeks.
Anyway, he has managed to get on with it and has done a great job.
First off, the loom under the dash needed some work as it was a real mess. So it was out with the dashboard. Whilst it was out, that was worked on a little too.
Took delivery of my custom air filter from ITG today.
Unfortunately, car is away so will have to wait to fit it but it looks like a nice bit of kit with plenty of surface area!
