                      I'm leaving a los angeles soon, and I'm all ready for the trip, so a partially disassembled, cleaned, I have nothing new, ca resume in November

                        Did you sandblast the block?
                        Sand will be in all the oil passages and it will be very hard to get it out.
                        All of your efforts might be down the drain if you run it without properly cleaning all of the sand out (each of the oil passages) with high pressure (compressed air might not get it all 100%).
                        Also, blasting will do a lot of samage to all the machined surfaces. Best way to get those clean is steam clean with salt brine, all the industrial engine rebuilders do that, much safer than blasting.

                        Just an FYI

                        Other than that it's great to see another RS2 saved from being parted out.
