Did you sandblast the aluminium bits, e.g. engine mounts etc., and then spray them silver with an aerosol can ?

Wow! I have been following this rebuild since it started on here. Its gonna be show condition when you have finished it! Cant wait to see pictures as unfortunatley im in the wrong country to see it in the flesh.

I am loving the engine painted up. Me and my brother did a mk3 golf gti engine for his caddy that we sanded by hand and then painted ourselves so not to damage the engine. Yours looks so much smoother and shinier than our attempt. Much respect!
