The rear subframe was fitted with superflex bushes, standard UR quattro rear diif bush and powerflex bushes on the arms. As you can see, there was no particular standard i was working to
As the front has the RS2 antiroll bar i fitted the whiteline rear one. I was going to fit the standard front one on the rear but got wisely talked out of it.
I second what Rob says, make sure the hub faces are clean.
Also get some proper paint on that RARB. They obviously don't have the same corrosion problems in Australia as we have in the UK.
Rob, they were only lightly sprayed with hammerite just to give them that bit of protection and since being back together, it has been four wheel aligned and set up.
Once the hubs were on it:-
it was time for the brakes. As the fronts were bigger, it would be rude not to do the rears. So thanks to the great brake upgrade write up on here, that's what was done.
And finally, the finished car back on its wheels, and also before it went in for the four wheel alignment which was done perfectly by cory at Quattronics. The car now handles a treat. It wouldn't win any awards for comfort mind with all new bushes and stiffer springs but i can live with it.
Chris's laptop has packed in so I'm posting an update on his behalf. Since the last update the car has been taken off the road for an RS2 upgrade, parts to be fitted include turbo, exhaust manifold, injectors and intercooler. Also fitted is a Supersprint 2.75" downpipe and AAN inlet manifold.
It's almost done, so I'll let the pictures do the talking:-

Yes, her still has the OZ's, they are for sale I think, and yes he made all the pipework himself. The front crossmember has been modified so that instead of sending the air back across to the drivers side it comes straight of of the back and up to the throttle body.

Thats a nice cost effective mod!
Engine bay looks very tidy!
If he's selling them tell him to PM me as I'm thinking of a set of 17's for winter as I'm going to Aviemore so was thinking of winter tyres. Also where did he get the tubing on the maf where the filter will go? It looks like one of the MTM jobs.

what's the radiator solution with the AAN inlet? I'm planning on doing something similar, however there's little room for a standard rad, even if it's tilted over to clear the manifold. Is it going to be custom made for the job?
With the front done, it was time to tackle the rear end. The first thing to clean up was the rear diff. As seen from the earlier picture, it was in a messy state. After much degreaser and a tooth brush it was ready to be painted, and hey presto:

Yes, the rad is custom, it should be here in a couple of weeks, I'll post some pics up when it's done.

Well, time for an update. Things are moving along slowly but i have now got the radiator in.
The radiator is made by a company called GRS Motorsport who made it from my drawings. This company make the radiators for the arial atom cars so as you would expect the quality is very high. It has a much thicker core than standard so as to try and gain the same cooling efficiency. The vains are also wider apart than normal so as to help the air pass through the radiator. Only time will tell if it will keep it cool. I have been working on making covers and ducts so as to direct the air that enters the front of the car to the radiator instead of going right over, or around it.
I have run the car but only briefly as the cooling system was not connected. I just need to sort out finishing the exhaust so that i can run it up properly.
