Brilliant work on getting the subaru gearbox linked up to the Audi engine. I think its the way I would go if I was thinking of moving onto a proper straight cut sequential dog box and fancy diffs. You only need to look at the set up in the Roger Clarke impreza to see how strong it is! Can the adapter you have made be replicated by yourself to sell on?

finally someone has fitted a subaru, this always seemed like the best way forward to me if wanted lots of control and cheap upgrade parts. cause lets face it audi tuning scene is sparse and expensive, where as jap is plentiful and cheap. how have you mounted the subaru diff? and how are you planing on doing the drive shafts, just half audi half subaru?
is that s1 replica a 5pot of a boxer?Comment

cheers, I made the adaptor plate using a manual mill not a cnc so replicating it would be require me working it all out again, saying that it could be done. i had to make a custom flywheel as well to fit the subaru clutch. the rear diff uses some adaptors picking up the front diff mounts and a custom rear diff mount. The prop shaft will be a shortened subaru item and the half shafts will use the inner subaru cv's and audi outer cv's. The biggest obstacle so far has been the audi steering rack interfering with the subaru clutch fork but i'm working on it.
Andrew Hawkeswoods S1 has an aan mated to a 5 speed subaru box.

i've been slowly chipping away at it, i have moved the rear top strut mounts out 50mm per side to gain more track and i'm in the process of making new longer front and rear tubular wishbones. I have also spent alot of time trying to get some better geometry into my front end by increasing my SAI angle and more castor. And at the same time working on an ali seatback / parceltray. I see yours is coming along great!Comment
