Ok time has arrived to replace the sensor. Really didnt feel like spending big money on a sensor and http://www.bbautomacao.com/products.asp?cat=14 are out of stock until next month

So I bought one of those cheap copy sensors for a seat 1.8i off ebay and took the sensor off that to see if I was on the right track.

First I wanted to see if the output of the old sensor was comparable to the new 'copy' sensor so I looked at the on my old oscilloscope

But I found something interesting. The output of G40 was erratic.

Sensor off


Old sensor was drilled out and new one fitted with rivets. I am not sure of alu. rivets for this application, but it will be changed again soon enough.

Everything put back and car started first tip. And after 10miles all errors are clear So I am hopeful.


I also had a problem with my lowered suspension. If the exhaust wasnt fitted exactly right it hit bumps etc.

So I set about rectifying this by fitting some decats I bought on ebay.de cheap.





And exhaust was raised about 1" by deleting the isolation mount.

Hopefully it can stay out of the garage now for a while
