The rev limiter is set quite low, for running in. The turbo will do 3 bar but I may not need all that to make maximum hp.

Repo just mapped another engine very much the same as mine and at half throttle it had 1bar on idle.

Did you miss the starting video David? Starts first turn of the key every time. Works like a charm!

Right i am definitely in the wrong trade to play with cars. I have scraped together about 5 hours work over the last week on the car.

The engine and all ancillaries have been tided away. The Loom for the Tatech is alot neater than the OEM one thats for sure, i also bolted on a bosch knock sensor.
I was advised to use a filter to the turbo's oil feed and use a smaller restrictor.

This is what i used for future reference for guys going the CT route. (this is not the only way it can be done)

    3x -4 straight fittings £9.17 each
    1x -4 90deg £16.31
    1x Earls -4 filter £50.01
    1.5m of -4 hose @£16.00 a meter
1x oil restrictor from local turbo company £15.00
silver soldering to original fitting £ free

Thats a little insight for people who think about building a High hp engine REMEMBER the small bits add up !

I have started to also cut up the OEM subframes for my seats.... Dont know what all this recaro sub frame fuss is about! lol

Acid burn RIP spoke to me from the grave i asked him to magic me some idicator bulbs and holders up... I am off for a drive sunday i think

lol, fair enough. Goes against how the btcc cars were done but in fairness more people do it your way than the other.

Look forward to seeing it finished

Out of interest how have you setup the breather system ?

I hear so many conflicting stories on how it should be done, are you returning from the tank to the sump ?
    Cheers Guys

Breathers from the engine go to the tank, tank vents to atmosphere and it has a -12 drain. I could not see the point of returning dirty burnt oil to the sump. I was going to.
