“Well we picked up the rental and quickly got to work installing the nitrous line and solenoid Easily found a grommet in the firewall pulled it out and ram the stainless line right out of the cab, Next we ran the line to the air box with ease, the engine bay is gigantic and easy to get around. I had the idea to just disconnect the factory horns and use that to power the nitrous solenoid and cut out a lot of time and wiring for the noid, we wired it up and tested it, doesn’t blow a fuse and powers the noid very well, so that was that, next we pulled the intake box of, easy enough there is a lot of space to hide the noid, and the jet, hell, there is even a hole that i just jammed the nitrous jet into, and screwed it in like it was supposed to be there. Through the evolution phases my car had a similar power output,i think it was about 360-370horses.Big lag,because no BC at all,but proper shifts,and wot all the way:

I think your run was way off...
What were the details? 60feet,200,400m,boost,fuel type?

The times I quoted were timed at GTI Inters (2005?). The 0-60 and i/4 were my best times on different runs.
I was running a Garrett T34 then which as I say gave me about 390bhp and just over 400lb torque.
2500rpm - 197bhp/361lb at 27.2 psi
4000rpm - 329bhp/401lb at 32 psi
6000rpm - 382bhp/318lb at 25.6psi
These figures were obtained on an engine dyno at flywheel.
Mind you, I never once sidestepped the clutch!

I guess I should add that 0-60 and top end were not the strengths I had, but the mid-range pull was something special - something that is difficult to measure on a drag strip.

hey brian, just wondering apart from the obvious things like the engine and loom what else would I need for the conversion on the ur when I do it? and is it easier to use aby or aan bits. What clutch/flywheel you using?

Yer meant to be wragging the **** off it not entering it in concours! When I saw it on saturday I thought cool theres gonna be another white rough around the edges type85 down at ADI so my cq wont be the only one but now it'll be putting mine to shame!

Andy yes the afr meter is in and as far as i can tell it runs spot on. Right at the top end of optimal when on full boost in every gear.

Jenks it will still have a hole in the a pillar and lots of rust patches.

Pete because you are converting the ur. You have all the bits you will need. You use the ur flywheel and clutch.
