I took it on the weighbridge last night and without me sat in it, half a tank of fuel and all the usual spare wheel, jack and other tat that's in the boot. It weights 1260kg.

Well I have covered 200 or so hard miles and have managed to polish off 135 quid's worth of fuel already. It is still running well and there does not appear to be any side effects yet. .
QuattroDan came out for a quick spin and has been impressed enough to go away with a list of part numbers to give it a try too.

It's a test for you lot.
I removed the N75 and the diverter value today and am running it with pressure relief and regulator valves. I am running approx 15psi and it goes like stink. I want to see how reliable it is before I do the same to my s2.
I have been out for a play tonight and with std 3b engine. No ecu mods and a kv fuel pump it's running low 4's 0-60 and late 12's 1/4. I will fit a boost guage and afr meter tomorrow to see how it's running.
The only down side to tonight is all I could find to play with was some chavs in a quicksilver and a golf gti.
I'd say you are running a lot more than 1 bar boost with those times. Mine is not as quick as that and is running 1.4bar? Impressive results.

i only have a 200kpa map sensor. I tried raising the boost above this and i still get some type of protection from the ecu as it cuts power.

It is possible to go over 1 bar with the 200kpa though not recommended. I have the 250kpa and around 290bhp at 1.4bar. You must be well over 320bhp with those times..

Depends how the boost drops off with Tonks' setup though, your homefries might be 1.4 bar early on but it will be about 0.8bar at redline whereas a manual boost control setup won't necessarily have that drop off...

To be honest i think it has to be a combination of things.

                      1. It's only 1260kg
                      2. It's running standard small wheels so quicker acceleration
                      3. 016 gearbox so has short gear ratio's
                      4. The engine is very very responsive regardless of boost.
                      5. Because of manual boost control it's 15psi from 1750rpm to red line
                      6. Because there is no diverter valve. The boost on the inlet side is still at 15psi after the gear change so zero lag. It seems as there is not even 0.5 of a second delay.
I can see now how they achieve what they do with the general lee and the jonus racing cars.

Heres hoping. Low lag and good reliability the biggest thing. Both of which have been issues all year.

Be interesting to get the 90 with that setup down the 1/4 mile to see how it compares to Chris's tuned 90 with 390bhp!
