your car will be vibrating A LOT more!! i hope you are not using it for your everyday commute!

personally i removed the rear diff because on high accelleration on 5th and 6th i had lots of vibrations at the back, even though the propshaft was properly aligned

I have the same rear diff bushing (CNC aluminum and with blue rubber from 034MS) and it makes no vibrations anymore. Takes some time to get it worked in though.

Well, he is not ironic it has only problems with spelling I think. I will try explain him by phone...

Otherwise, car is great, daily driver and very fast.
As he wanted to have reliable daily driver with 500+hp, I build it like that. Maybe cams are only too agresive - even more as in his explanation. But that was also the point. Low boost, high power. Of course we lost on spool because of this, but nevertheless. Car is fast.
With 1.7bar at redline (only 7500rpm) it accelerates in low 7s from 100kmh - 200kmh -racelogic driftbox. Full interior of course.
Car has enough big intercooler, turbo and strong engine to drive 2.5bar and give out arround 700hp but it is not needed since is everyday driver.

                          Otherwise engine mods installed:
                          - adu engine block,
                          - adu head ported
                          - racing schrick cams,
                          - tubular exhaust manifold (like KRB one)
                          - open exhaust I think is 80mm
                          - big enough IC
                          - 960ccm/3bar injectors
                          - short style intake manny; it will be replaced shortly
                          - compturbo CT367 .63A/R turbo
                          - Autronic SM4
                          - original audi wg
                          - water injection aquamist
                          - 1.8T coils
                          - wiseco pistons low compression
                          - PO rods
                          - arp head studs
                          - sinter daily single clutch
                          - some special modifications inside engine block and head for better oil suplly and water cooling
                          - .... I must forgot something

Some more pictures from the owner would be just great. Car is nice, big enough breaks, H@R suspension,...

So be aware on croatian highways if travelling to Belgrade. It might "find" you rs2 from Vukovar.

P.S. car I think at the moment made 12.000-15.000km and has no issues with the engine...

is the loss of spooling only to do with the cams, or the fact that the turbo is huge as well?

when do you get full boost on 3d gear now?

                            sounds quite strong!

Cams "fault" is some 300rpm maybe...and maybe lower tourque till 5500rpm.
Turbo is big. Definitely. You can get out 500hp mark with a lot smaller CT355. But is out at arround 530 more or less. We could choose 61 too.

CT367 is big. In his engine it makes 2 bar arround 4700rpm in higher gears, in third gear I think at 5000rpm or so. Depends when you hit full throtlle of course. In any case above 1 bar is fast enough already. But if you hit full throtlle in 6th gear at 2000rpm it does not happen anything. You need 2 gears down...

With 550hp and this turbo is like turbo has a rest. Reliable everyday drive with no power loss on high temperatures during the hot summer in croatia.

We could put on smaller turbo and bulid engine in the way, he could hit 2bar way before 4000rpm and still reach 500hp but I know this guy. He will want more power. Sooner or later. In that case we will only raise the boost, nothing else.

Maybe numbers and spool looks like laisy car but it is not like this when you are driving arround. Still, we will probably do some changes on intake manny and reclock cams a bit.

At the moment car hits with 1.7bar 300+kmh on gps with 4 people in the car very very easy. Like no problems at all.

In any case; when I build 2.2l engine with daily 600hp I always take 67... With some differences in engine we have here audi s2 with CT367 and we have 1 bar at 3550rpm and full boost at 4200rpm.... Of course it does not breathe so well in high revs in compare as this rs2 in the thread but just to see, that also CT367 can be "fast" in spool if wanted

In any case audi rs2 is a station wagon, it is not ment to be like Mitsubishi Evo or Impreza so we were not looking for a high kick in the *** at 2500rpm. With rs2 you are not looking for short corners but is more like family drive with barbecue in the trunk on left lane on highway in front 997 turbo and flames thrue exhaust. if you understand what I mean... I own rs2 too and I speak bom experience...

                                Nice,

this is kind of what i like to do. The fact that you have 1bar early enough is quite fast already. Keep it up!

still those photos are very small, you need to have the large links posted!!!
