Hiya Matt, it's all about timing mate. I was second in the queue for this one so when it came up again the seller did the honurable thing and I bought it.

I couldn't believe the 996 monoblocks when they appeared on fleabay,.........got fed up of bidding on things and then the auction suddenly/mysteriously 'ending', so I went with the flow and disgracefully phoned the seller and did a Buy It Now. Picking them up tomorrow from Leicester. It's a 176 mile round trip, but I'm desperate to get things moving.

And yes mate it feels real good knowing that I can finally crack on. Just need to decide whether to keep the 5 speed box or go 6 speed as I still have that brand new RS2 box? Originally I wanted this car for the track, so top end is not really an issue.

You keeping the 5 speed box?

If your keeping the urq box then you will need a urq flywheel, if your keeping the other flywheel then you need to swap all the running gear to get it all to work.

lovely project...not to put dampers on things but the wrong screen angle just doesn.t work on sq reps for me....there is little cabin space in a standard ur

Not getting into that debate. It's a shortened WR and not a SQ rep, therefore the windscreen angle for me is correct.

Again it's being made as a fast road car,......something that can be taken out and enjoyed and not to passed off as a SQ wanabe.

not with the wr running gear, for that you'd need a urq flywheel or 200 20v turbo one and a uprated clutch.

Must have a word with DJones as I was sure you could use the 3B one. Is the RR one the same as the 3B one as they are the same engines?

Petes right, you can use a 200 20v or an rr flywheel, wr one will fit but is not as good
