        .

Jesh...you're all argueing over oem this and oem that...what the ****...if its going to be stripped and sorted for the track its hardly ****ing oem then, is it!

Just get some big stickers and plaster yur ****ing coupes and avants and go tracking...

If you want oem then promote the stand and the cars that are on it...

If you want a track car pick the best chassis...

I'll gonna get banned for this, i can see...

          No you're not, you're right.

They'll be arguing over detailing products next

Matt black saloon with a GT35 on there, that's nice and OEM

Oh, and better doesn't mean more fun, trying not to crash due to lift-off oversteer can make for a very entertaining track session

Ill close the poll at the end of the week.

But its looking like an Avant will be the most suitable candidate.

It defiantly doesn't need to stay OEM. As long as it started its life as an S2 anything goes, with in reason..
So that means it will not be turned in to a pickup truck Gary.

                Serious:

Im not voting Avant just cause i have one ( well maybe little )

But it´s got a better suspension geometry @ back, Probably got an better weight ratio ( but heavier of course) the downside is that you cant fit as wide rims/tires on the avant, right? but for this moderate 350 bhp car 235´s work wery well IMHO.

Then it also got more space for sponsor logos as said, AND the best part, It´s an avant = more outstanding towards other drivers/public/Sponsors etc.

                Just my ££

One thing i've learned we are way behind the Scandinavians!

surely there should be a coupe and an avant as lets face it they were the two volume production models...

Totally agree on stripped, caged maybe and maybe a reasonably OEM engine upgrade (RS2 spec etc) decent brakes etc

                    HOWEVER
                    1) Who do you trust to drive it?
                    2) How do you insure it?
                    3) Does everyone pay the same 'subs' or the more you pay the more you play?

In theory, its a great idea and not that difficult to get up and running but reality might be somewhat different certainly need plenty of planning with a large group involved, even down to which track days its used and who uses it and so on.

                          Spot on

IF you dont want to get involved, dont.

I agree its going to be a logistical challenge, but hey, why not?

Well count me in for helping out working on it or parts sourcing if need be, i'm more interested in getting involved with this than the actual driving. Its a good way of meeting forum members and learning a bit about the car whilst your doing it, no matter how much/little you think you know you always learn something at some point.

@david - think you need another deadline for your car we got motivated quickly last time
