It's a 4 port, but I have two of them blocked off with bleed nipples from the tiny stock 80mc

    The part number is 7D0611019A

If the cylinder is the same size and it fits with the same ports etc I can't see any reason why you shouldn't use it

Do you have that transporter mc part number?

My own mc had brake crystals forming on the servo side of the seal so I presume it had a leak. I set about looking for a replacement all of which seemed to be very expensive. But found a 25.4mm transporter mc that had the same dimensions and got it quite cheap. There could be other factors that I am not taking into account but I am willing to give it a shot.

BTW why were you thinking about a Transporter MC?

Still mulling over that rs2 mainifold idea.

Getting back into it now again, a little bit all over the place but as long as things are getting done I dont mind too much.
Just did a test fit of the engine in the bay with the vacuum assist

Seems ok, might go with an LHD master cylinder to get the lines coming out the other side of the cylinder.
I have also test fitted a transporter 25.4mm master cylinder.

Spider and arm needed cleaning, and the boot had a tear in it.

Rack got a dose of cleaning too. Replaced the gaiter too, but kept and reused the old circlip.

This would be very difficult to do on the car, make sure to get rid of all the rust so the plastic end can come off.

When removing the rack I managed to break alot of tabs holding this in, so I got a new one.

Line straightener seemed to do it job.

Also wrapped the loom in vw engine bay cloth tape

Test fitted the now painted servo making sure my brake line can clear it all.

No. Start with the RS2 EM and stock turbo and injectors and get a chip set with a 3Bar MAP sensor = 280 reliable hp. No change to the down pipe.

IF/WHEN you feel the need (many don't once they are chipped with a 3 Bar MAP), then and only then, you upgrade the turbo (e.g. RS2 K24-7200) and injector and a new chip set = 360 to 380 hp. (All assuming the RS2 EM or equivalent).

Ask JP for a quote to modify your stock ex manifold, he did 420bhp on a 'breathed' on stock AAN manifold. If you're just going to run it a Homefry level, you'll be fine.

    yep 60

Once its done a few hundred miles , I will throw the homefries into it, along with the decat and miltek it should do me for a while.

    2. I understand where you are coming from. I would like nothing more to start down that road, but it its a long road. Change the em, then the turbo, injectors, rods, downpipe etc. Then I would like to go reverse im, with a better intercooler. Not to mention the software side. Its really intimidating. Especially as this is my first build.

I will eventually down that road, but maybe after a year or two on the road.

    Eric: Looking Good(er).

    Two comments:

    1. I still see some blue silicone on the bottom of the block where the sump meets the block. You might want to scrape that off.

    2. Please, please, please, don't put that OE exhaust manifold back on. It's pretty but performance-wise, you are waaaay better off with an OE RS2 EM or Wagner RS2 EVO exhaust manifold. Now is the time to bite the bullet (again, as needed).
