My fecking Internet is down and no sign of a fix anytime soon! iPhones are fantastic, if you get signal at home, let alone 3G!

Anyway, seeing as i can't surf i'm after help!

    1. Arp head bolts, aby, 204-4207? Is that right? And is £137 ok?

    2. Anyone know anything of K1 rods? I was gonna go scat but are these good?

    3. I can only get 5 inlet valves from Audi, suggestions?

    4. A link to shells?

    5. Head gasket? Genuine Audi, or other?

    6. Really would like timing chain sprocket photos!

    Thanks

    Mike

    Cheers guys...

EVO IC is unused, so it depends on whether I can afford a reverse IM kit along with the rest of the stuff needed.

The head I will just replace the valves that are bent as I don't think headwork is really needed for 450 - 500 HP... Pistons are fine, and the bores look like new

If I sell the EVO IC Nesshead, you have first dibs

I dunno about a single mass flywheel, whats the point? does the dual mass not take the torque?

OH.... Does someone have a photo of the teeth on the Cams where the chain goes? they look awfully rounded on my car!

Repo was selling a used ABY Sachs (I think) that'll save a few £.

As for the rest, get the head built properly and flowed, might even be worth getting larger inlet valves if you're going to buy new ones anyway.

As for the rest of the kit, it all depends on budget... as Bram says, it's mostly been covered in the project threads so get reading

7A cams are a matter of taste really, all 3 sets can be used but give different characteristics, I'd speak to whoever you get to tune the car to see what they suggest for your turbo.

I'm sure the k26 EM will sell in 0.01s flat.

If you bend so many valves it sounds like the belt slipped much more then 1 tooth. I would rebuild that cyl head and also check the pistons for damage. Also I would go for a single mass flywheel if you uprate to those turbos. The rest of your questions are answered in other topics, so please search for them

    Good luck

Timing Belt slippage - What to do?!

OK so some of you may know from the Knockhill thread that my timing belt slipped when the belts in front of it went.

I checked yesterday and it slipped one tooth (or one turn less one tooth!) so I re timed it and cranked it over on the off chance I was lucky! No such luck... 8 out the 10 inlet valves are bent. No biggy really I guess, like I said at the time, I'd rather that that smash it into the tyre wall!

So the question is, what do I do? Bear in mind labour costs nothing when suggesting!

I need to replace a thrust bearing as it doing my t1ts in! So should I get an uprated clutch? (I am intending putting in a 3071/6 or CT355 soonish) If so, what one for an ABY?

Should I take the block out and do the rods? I am thinking yes as its half out anyway...

Should I put in the 7a cams, or try get hold of ADU ones, or are ABY ones fine for the turbos I am looking at?

Where is the best place to get the parts I need? i.e. ARP head bolts, gasket, rods...?

If only I had bought a k26 Evo EM rather than the T3 one, I could have fitted it too! Now I need to think if I should sell the EVO IC that has never been fitted, and get a reverse one from Wagner too...

    Ahh, so many decisions!

    Thanks for any advice guys
