Can you just cut a hole in the floor for the battery or do you need to move fuel lines or similar?

    Cheers Dude

Plan is, I've got the box from an ABY for under the back seat, so "just" need to cut a hole and drop it in. I've had a couple of people promise me the wiring loom but not happened yet.. In the meantime I'm looking at bodging a place under the bonnet for it, maybe hang it from the strut brace  or strapped down in the back.

Where does the battery positive lead go though on the ABY Coupe? and whats the routing?

I just finished all the plumbing, rad in and hooked up, wgfv located where I can get to it again. I'm in need of G004 000 and Coolant which I've just ordered.

It Lives! Gave it a good cranking first and had to nip up one of the oil cooler lines. connected the coil wire and nothing, was just going to check the order of plug leads again, gave it one more spin and.. Its always a great moment when it fires up and the oil pressure goes to 5 Bar.

Just the rad to put back in and fill with water and a few clips on the small hoses.

Big day on the coupe today, I think a bit of wiring will see me trying to start it Only problem is I now have nowhere to put the battery

According to "Kate" the 3B PAS belt is 992x12,5mm (ABY 12,5x1030mm), think I saw a belt with 990x13mm reccomended at a Norwegian shop which sells Wagner stuff. If that was for ABY or 3B wasn't indicated but I'd guess 3B.

when i fitted the wagner im on my 3B engined s2 i used a gates 6469mc belt for the power steering belt. its was a bit on the tight side but i've not had any problems. the belt is 13x975mm the next size up is a 6470mc which is 13x1000mm but i think that is the original steering pump belt size for the 3B

Don't know if 3B is the same as ABY for the belts.

On my Aby with a Wagner short path intake I have:

Gates Auto Master 6471MC - Belt to Power steering Pump
Gates Micro-V XF 4PK860 - Belt to Alternator.

Yes, I have a few belts in the garage, might be one that fits, if not its down to halfords.
