sounds like progress is being made there John, mine was crudded up with tons of old ps fluid and grit etc from years of weeping on the t piece under the tray. Somewhere i have the part numbers from pirtek who remade all of mine if you need it...

    happy New year btw

What you going to do with all that space then?

Where have you decided on relocation?

Spent a couple of hours with an angle grinder, hammer and chisel today and removed the battery tray from under the bonnet! No going back now!

The more I look the more power steering fluid I see, its all over the place, its going to be difficult to find where all the leaks are.. The pipe that runs under the battery tray (which is now visible) seems to be seeping where it splits to the rack. The area around the rack and below the servo is all wet. The area under the reservoir alongside the rad is wet.. It's a right mess. Going to need lots of APC and my new pressure washer (£35 at Halfords ) on it.

Spent some time reinstating the interior, funny how you forget which screw is which, when will I learn to bag and label things?

Broke one of the visor clips but found a spare, its looking quite nice with the new platinum covering and a black alcantara sunroof panel Hmm, we'll see..

On the plus side, this evening I recovered the headlining which has been out of the car for about a year, got it back in too, not perfect as it was a first time but way better than before

Look forward to hearing about it, I still havent been for a ride in your car and would really like to!

Today saw more bits coming off the Coupe, RS2 IM is off (going on the avant for a bit of bling) and radiator out ready to fit ABY fan. The whole engine bay needs a proper clean since there's a big leak or 2 in the PS circuit.. Its looking sadder all the time, its going to be a while before she runs again hopefully the avant will be back up and running sooner though!

    Hi John,
So are both your S2's in bits at the moment?
Does that mean the Tresser has become your daily driver for now?
    Good luck with te projects.
    Cheers

    Few sad pics..

Lambda wires chopped by bottom of airbox no wonder it was driving crap at part throttle!

Started the work in the engine bay today, ran the engine till the fan cut in then removed the airbox, IC, crossmember and inlet pipework, Turbo and RS2 exhaust manifold, the EM will go into the Avant S2Bo Crossmember and monster IC will be for sale.

It was cold but the heat in the engine lasted well and I can still feel my fingers, has to be said though, I wore a lot of layers Those last 3 bolts under the EM are fun eh?
