615 AWHP on LOW BOOST!!!! (4-pot inside)

dyno'd last night. went safe with less boost and timing. and fuel change to E85 with bigger injectors.

615 AWHP, 434 Wtq. not too shabby considering the run was 3rd gear, ~30-32 psi, 8500 rpm. went for fully custom bottom end.

    and some vids for ya.

and then pull 1-4.... car jumps. dyno grating moves. fireball exhaust on 1-2 shift. BAM....

    Issam built the bottom end;

    AZG 06A 2.0L block
    billet main caps
    girdle
    86.4mm forged crank
150mm custom rods with 21mm wrist pins
    83.5mm JE pistons
    1.74 rod ratio, 1893cc.

    Joey (DoubleJ Motorwerks) built the head;

    AEB non-ported casting
CAT Billet solid lifter cams, 1003756 (the smallest solid grind, BTW)
    CAT solid lifters
    under-lifter lash caps
ST inconel exhaust valves, single groove
+1mm ST SS Nitrided intake valves, single groove
    ST springs and retainers
    CAT cam gear
    full valve job, all documented/blueprinted.

    Turbo is a Bullseye Power S366XL, T4 divided inlet 1.00 A/R
Brian Macy of Horsepower Connection made the twin scroll manifold and exhaust.
    two Tial MV-s 38mm v-band wastegates.
my own thing on the wastegate lines, SS hardline tubing.
3.5" compressor out, 4" v-band exhaust straight out of the fender, 5" anti-surge inlet.

Fueling is E-85, Bosch 1680cc injectors fed by twin Bosch 044 pumps.

the cam card calls for 106/106 and we (Joey of DJM and Collin of Techtonics Tuning) Cam Doctored them; then on the advice of Bob, Pete, and Collin we set it up to run @ 112/112.

lastly, degreed the head and block together for PERFECTION.

conservative tune done by Kevin Black. we had a goal, "dont run above xx psi, nor over xxxx rpm, etc. make it safe, take it to the track, then do some power making.".... we did just that.

Nice! How do you find driveability on the street with 1600cc injectors? As we ran out of fuel on the 1200cc's and still debating whether to crank up the fuel pressure or swap to 1600's as we haven't gotten round to dialing the cams in yet.

p.s. which Dynojet did you use as we were looking for one to compare figures with the US boys who all seem to use dynojet.

front half was 248, rear half was 224 i think? if you want the DRF files, i can send them to you, that way you can interpolate and overlay and whatever else you want to do with them.

and this is a drag chassis only. my street isnt very long, and that is the extent of the drive.

but after doing some "garage toonig" the 1600's are ok. they have an inherent flaw between 1.3ms and 1.7ms, they dont like that range very well, i understand.

my next step if i decide to go further is 0Injector Dynamics 2200cc injectors. better control and driveability down low.

these 1600's, they were only 64% duty cycle on these runs, from the logs.

Great to see it in action. Can you supply more tech info on your chargecooler setup? What core, how many liters, hose diameter, size tank, what pump etc etc.

                        generic AWIC, advertised as rated up to 900 BHP. 10" x 4.5" x 4.5" core size, 3" inlet/outlet.
12 gallon fuel cell converted to reservoir. cut in a 6" boat deck port to fill it, and is sealable still.
hoses are -10AN or 5/8" hose.
pump is a Rule Industries 500 gph bilge pump. model 25D, submersible.

as for how well it works, we shall soon see.

there is no radiator or heat exchanger for the AWIC system. just tank and core. this is a drag car only.

                              on the 615 AWHP run, it went 29 C to 39 C.... 84 F to 102 F.

on the dyno pull where all four gears are run it went from 30 C to 43.9 C.... 86 F to 111 F. i dont think that is too awful bad myself.
