    10.05 @ 138 1.51 60'

saturday (2 days ago) went out to shakedown the car. made 4 passes, went 11.28 @ 132 and broke the UrS4 5 speed 01E. derracuda brought me a Euro TDI 6 speed and 4 hrs later we are ready.

fast forward to today. i made three passes and got booted for not having the NHRA license and the cage inspection certification.

all in all this chassis has made 7 passes, and its running and driving GREAT!!!!! we are in the process of tuning AFR's on a pass and dialing in the launch control. lots of horsepower because we do not agree on how its measured, 33psi boost, and 10.05 seconds.

my dyno driver hit 1.46 in it to the 60' but had an aborted run.....

it would have run 9's today. and this IS the FASTEST/QUICKEST Vag 4cyl AWD car in North America, as well as second quickest Quattro car in North America. that includes Canada as well. the fastest is Chris Green / USP Motorsports S4 VR6 turbo @ 9.8x.

it pulls so hard..... my fast pass i ran my buddies Corvette heads up. he said at about the 1/8th my car JUMPED OUT on him at least 30 feet and he never regained it. probably when 3rd spooled, i dunno.

but here are some videos to enjoy. and once again sorry i am into the 4 cyl 20V motors.

Slicks will explain the 60ft times as we are struggling to get below 1.6 on drag radials.

As for the regs lot stricter than what we have over here.
            Helmet for 110mph+
For amateur class no license is required, chute only on a 150mph+ pass, full suit on a sub 10 pass. The closest we have a roadgoing AWD VAG to a chute is currently a mk1 Golf on Drag Radials with a 1.8t and gt35 on it which did a 9.89@148.7 with a slight tail wind.

Looking forward to the progress on the strip.

ill be a little more positive.

                          its because they can drive.

                          experience of drag racing moreso.

people think that a 1/4 mile is just a **** it to the end. its easier said than done and holdin the car together in the process is even more skill.

a good drivers gotta be worth 1-2 seconds.

GaZZA, while i appreciate that, i cant drive this car i dont think. not yet. i have 7 passes in it, TOTAL. my dyno driver, Shannon, he would have clicked off 9.7 no problem. he is a GOOD DRIVER....

tracks are well prepped, and dedicated to racing. i wish i could go run on an airfield or whatever you guys run out there in some places.....

i am just learning how to launch it, i have yet to do a burnout in it, i have yet to preload the launch either.

my first attempt to launch on the limiter i dropped the clutch and the car came all four wheels off the ground, it was comical.
