Got abit more done from the last update.

Received a box from quattrostyle with my new HD lower arm bushes.
Quickly put the press to good use again and pressed them all in.

    Fitting the new ball joints.

Fitted new diff seals.. the small one from TPS. (Sorry for the blurry images!)
    Removed the flange

    Pulled out the old seal

    New seal driven in

    Refit the flange

s2spike sent me the other diff seal and a set of coilpack boots!

    Rear subframe being built up.

Finished off under sealing the last wheel arch so refitted all the plastics and trims, mounted the KW's and refitted the brake lines with refurb'd brackets.

    Also fitted the steering arms.

Hopefully I'll get the rear subframe fitted back onto the car tomorrow evening. More photos then.

they are both mounted underneath and poke up through the hole in the frame...
Hope this makes it look alittle clearer

The worry I have is that both mounts are mounted the same way yet the diff bolts to one side of one mount and the other side of the other mount..

Started to put together the rear subframe this evening.
I dont know if you can make it out in the picture or not but does anybody know if the mounts are the right way? I can for the life of me remember and the only photo I have is too poor to make out.

I couldn't resist test fitting aronmatic's carbon coil cover.

Just to add, the CV's are all original apart from one outer which was new due to damage on the old one! I just stripped them down a shot blasted them in work. amazing what a lick of paint can do.

Those wings on the floor are the ones off my s2, the other picture shows the replacement thats a different colour. the O/S looks like a good match so I could well be after another N/S wing.

The CV's I got from a local motor factors (CES). Make sure if your shafts are the same as an S2 then they may well list the rear CV's as front CV's like they did with mine.

Out of interest where did you get the cv's from?

    More progress from the weekend.

Started off by giving the prop a quick freshen up.

Finally finished building all the driveshafts after waiting for a new front outer joint to arrive.
The parts pile is starting to grow.

Next mission after the suspension bits and bobs was to strip the inlet manifold and fuel rail for cleaning.
After sending the manifold off to be soda blasted I though the injectors and rail could do with a freshen up.

    Then rebuilt!

Gave the cam cover a quick paint after cleaning but think I may change the colour later on.

Finished off the underneath by refitting the heat shields after a quick clean.

Cleaned and touched up bits in the engine bay where there was some paint missing and just general dirt and grime. A few more parts have been either painted or cleaned after this photo.

Lastly I've been on the hunt for a pair of red wings as mine were in VERY poor condition, so after a few months searching I've finally collected 2 wings. They're both far from perfect but much better than what I had. The only problem I'm really concerned about at the moment is that the N/S wing looks like a very poor colour match and looks orange compared to the rest of the cars paint.
I'll have to wait till I can get it in the day light to see how bad the colour match is.

Still I don't know which is worse, the wrong colour or the rust...

Tonight I managed to assemble the rear control arms, (greased this time )
Again these have been fitted with bambridge bushes!

Built up the rear shafts, still need to crimp the boot clips but forgot my crimping pliers in work.

I've painted one front CV joint and both front shafts, just waiting for a new CV joint then I can continue to build the fronts.

Fitted the backing plates to the hubs then pressed in the flanges.

To finish off tonights activities I carried on under sealing the floor pan. What a messy job it is but looks great when finished!

Not as much done as I wanted to but with it being fathers day today I didn't get a chance to go up to my unit.

Anyway Saturdays progress went like this:

First off gave the drive flanges and other bits I painted the other night another lick of paint. They are now ready to be assembled and pressed into the hubs.

Then painted the disc backing plates after shot blasting, after a few coats they looked like this.

Carried on painting other engine bits and bobs.

I then started the messy job of cleaning the underneath of the car and re-sealing it.
Only managed to get the rear wheel arches and under the boot floor done last night so hopefully I'll get the rest done in the next few days.

I know the rear brakes are hanging in this picture but I still haven't removed the rear calipers and hoses yet.
