J's Unlimited timeattack project 90 saloon

I had baptized this as a Project Mayhem, but it is in use, so I need to stick with something less intimidating.

Nevertheless, I bought an RC division 1 car from Hungary five years ago.

Car had appr 450hp setup on stock internal 3b engine, while I bought it.

I sold the turbo kit and the motronic, and a girl from Estonia did 11.9 on quarter with it a couple of months ago.

I have been collecting parts for the car, and will now start working on it this winter. Goal is to race in Timeattack Unlimited class next summer.

    Shortened parts list:

    -Tatech T32
    -RT dash2 and DL1 datalog

    -AAT block
    -appr. 5kg lightened AAT crank
    -Eurospec rods
    -10.5:1 C/r custom wisecos
    -ATI super damper

-Aeromotive belt driven fuel pump and proper press regulator

    -Rosten valvesprings
-Schrick custom grind solid profile cams
    -Schrick solid tappets

    -01E biturbo gearbox
    -5.5in QM 3-plate Carbon-V clutch

The car had S1 alu uprights and GrB URQ CrMo wishbones at the front. A couple of years ago I found IMSA titanium piston Alcons and relevat discs, for which I had disc hubs made.

At the rear the uprights were steel, not sure if they are homebrew or early edition works URQ parts, as the works parts from that time sometimes look homemade.

Dampers I was told, were from large wing S1 tarmac suspension. As were the springs.

Now yesterday I sold all these suspension and brake parts. Will see, if I manage to get something more serious anytime soon.

Power goal? Hmm. Yea, got one. Let's see.

That is perfect! You lucky lucky man. Looking forward to watching this one. RC1 Division - what is that? Like rallycross?

I remember spending a week at his house. He showed me a clip where he hit a wall like 150km/h. As we do not share common language, we needed to communicate with 30 words of german and 20 words of english, so he explained.

"Kukken! Laszlo kommen. Schnällste. Pumm. Motor kaputt, suzpenzion kaputt, tranzmizzion kaputt, karosserie kaputt."

Next clip he drives on the same track with same car the next day. Car looks like a dinosaur had chewed it for a while:

          "Tomoorow. Kukken. Laszlo kommen."

          I love him.

Thats one hell of a spec list! Very interesting to see you using high compression, race fuel or E85 only?

Cant wait to see more of it as you build it up!

The alu bushed up subframe looks like SQ/S1 rally stuff.
                          Hmm, racing heritage....

Well. As far as I know, the uprights and front subframe are from Gr A 200Q. Frame has been modified. A lot.

I have been told they used similar aluminum uprights in DTM V8. Don't know for sure.

Rear uprights look like they are same as front, only the steering arm is bolted upside down and the subframe modified to manage the pump steer.

Front brakes are from STC Audi. Rear ones perhaps from WRC evo. Notice the four rings on the front calipers. Nice, eh?

Dampers are Öhlins 2-way adjustables, I got two spare, one front, one rear.

                              Driveshafts are IMSA and/or S1

Steering rack afaik is from DTM V8. For sale btw if someone needs one.

Wheels are just simply freaking awesome, I don't care if they have history or not.

Pedalbox is Tilton, master cylinders are Boge and Lockheed.

All I know the whole bunch was installed in to an S2 with IMSA engine nr. 23 and accompanied with 016 titanium case racing transmission. Another people got the engine and gearbox, I got the rest.
