        Titan grey would be cool

You're gonna have to let me have a look in person before you sell it, though

There was a redish maroon colour avalable in the T85, I've only seen a few cars in that colour and thought it was stunning. Amanda you'd probably be able to identify the correct code. It's an awesome colour anyway.

Great to see the car has served you so well for so long. Good luck with the refurb and subsequent sale.

I do think that definatly makes you funny! Five and all the same! I suppose its different than collecting cats! Have they got the original fuel in the tank, oil, paint? original...........

Here we go fellas, I told you! " O its been modified" Its started already! "not the original colour"......:corey:

Not going back to green dash, woeful 10valve, mechanical injection, soggy suspension and useless brakes. An origional standard UR has all on beating a mk2 16v golf. Got bored of that...
Darren how do you get on? I bet the "club" wanted to hang you at Coombe when they saw all your mods!

Rob your are right, they do find it hard to acknowledge you or the car. The recent breakfast club at Goodwood was the same, one chap kept stating ”mines standard as it should be..”

In truth if mine was standard it would have been sold many moons ago.. Running cost of a Ferrari for 205 GTI performance… think not..!

Its funny how it seems to be the only model that seems to attract this stigma. Up grade (sensibly) your B5 RS4 and every body applauds you…

Fortunately I’m one of those people that doesn’t give a sh*t what others think of me and I live a life not knowingly hurting people, good enough for me….

This forum more than any other really deals with modification of cars, from minor changes to fully blown 600bhp+ motors. In my personal opinion, there are very few cars out in the real world that would not benefit from some sort of modifying. THis includes anything from changing the brand of tyre and replacing a broken radio set.
Sometimes these items are changed as the original items are NLA. Once these bits are changed, the car is already 'modified' or non-original.
Ultimately though, each to their own and whatever rocks your boat. In my eyes, there is nothing better than sitting in my old banger Typ85 quattro knowing there is very little on the road that will beat me. I rarely have to prove it to myself or anyone else, but just knowing is what rocks my boat for sure.
                  Just my humble ramblings
                  Cheers
                  Chris

PS. Good luck with the restoration. I'm sure it will make the prospective new owner very happy.

I am not slagging you off I just think that if you are going to mod then thats your choice but be honest about it get the work done properly and dont hide anything that then lets new owners make their own mind up as trying to do a bodge job will be found out.I choose to keep my urs as standard and thats my choice. Ohh and for the record I don't just own ur's

amanda I can garantee that Rob will not hide anything, he will be doing all the work himself. He is a trained Aston Martin panel beater and sprayer by trade. I can vouch for his skills as he has done a lot of work on my car.

He has his work cut out with this one, he is a very busy man so I think it will be a long project but worth the wait...............

@GT500 I'm for Titan Grey as well think it will look awesome on the UR.
