ok opinion time!!

along the bottom of an s2/rs2 you have that PITA rubber strip, on the 80 sedan that i have it doesnt have these the door goes right down to the sill.

now would it be wrong/lazy to not bother changing the doors just to have the PITA to paint and looks gash when it cracks oh and no longer available rubber strips on the bottom of the doors???

You dont have the rubber strips on the saloon and avant, they are plastic mouldings that are glued on and IIRC the RS2 has a deeper moulding than the standard cars.

wrong. they are held on by plastic clips that are held on on metal pins that are welded on the door.

Are the doors not a different shape to allow the strips to be fitted..
I was tempted many moons ago to try and fit some of a passat or something. ( bit thicker plastic) smoothed and painted i recon they would look good.( if any were the same length)

Black should be the colour, no question.

There is another photo of a black S2 saloon after being cleaned I posted a few years ago, if I can find it, it will leave you in no doubt, think it had Porsche rims as well.
