You might as well keep stock cams with the turbo you are getting.
You will retain driveability down low, and not lose a whole lot up top.
Of course, 7A cams would be a lot more aggressive on boost, but losing the lows isn't worth it if you are going to use your car in town driving.
I have now tried 7A inlet and exhaust, 7A inlet only and 7A exhaust only. I'd say either go both, or just go stock cams.
An alternative, which I found pretty nice, was to use NM cams. IIRC they had slightly longer duration and lift than stock ones. Much closer to stock cams than 7A ones, but give a bit extra up top with not much loss down low.
But really, if it were my car, I'd just keep stock or ADU stock cam setup. Even on a GT30R car running 2 bar to redline it was very nice to have stock CR and stock cams, because of all the pull down low. Of course it wasn't as fast as it could be with only 15 deg timing up top, but power is really not everything, it was very driveable even around town.Comment

I like rs2 cams I sold 4 of then for big money however they suit the kkk turbo range best
repo has had results on them after clocking them with an adjustable sprocket Brams rocket for instant
Mrc will tell you they are hell with a 3071r
I just think buying a pair of 7a and having JP or Prosty reprofile them is better than looking for a single rs2 exhaust cam for the same moneyComment

i dont disagree, if you get them reclocked or reprofiled, they will be better, but as i said on another thread, on my previous setup, surge issues were minimal with vems, and without a ported head.
If i think of this correctly, if the engine is able to digest more incoming air(ie from the turbo) at lower revs, then the surging will be reduced, isnt that correct?Comment
