That's not an original UrQ color is it?

                Hello,

Just wanted to update this project thread.
The project is still alive (somewhat) as last weekend I found the courage to start disconnecting all cables, water hoses, intake of the engine and radiator. It went in a whopping 30 minutes or so, so that was enough for now

Engine bay looks a lot emptier already and soon will go ahead and remove the engine / GB.

I think I will remove the complete front to make that operation a bit easier

check out my IC, look at the pics, the IC sits on the upper side of the bumper instead of under it. custom made IC, but you get the idea: http://www.garaget.org/?car=244880

                    Hi,

thanks for sharing. There is one thing though. The bonnet closes with 2 pins on the sides of your car, while I would like to keep using the default bonnet hook catcher. That's currently not there on your car if I look at your pictures.

youre right, its not there anymore, so if youre going to use oem bonnet opener its going to be tricky.. ive seen people putting an intercooler in front of the radiator also, it works fine for them, maybe worth a shot?

Maybe, but then I hope there will be enough cold air passing through both IC and radiator cores to keep both cool........

Think twin IC is going to be the only solution here.......

or you do like im planning to do, locate the radiator to the trunk, air intakes in the side windows, exit thru the bootlid....then youve got some more space to work with

You need more than just side windows.

Your need another source as well

double 3" naca with scoops probably, and maybe fans on the hoses before the radiator and two big fans on the back side of the rad. that means four 3 inch hoses, wouldnt that be enough then i put a scoop on the roof also

                              what do you think?

well I think Bram won't put a radiator in the boot with scoops everywhere.
