My UrQuattro project

Soon more info to come. Some forum members know I have been collecting parts over the last months. Because I had a promotion at work I had to work off my *** in the last months and was not be able to start the work sooner. But I really want to share it with you as I am getting more excited everyday.

Will be starting to build a low budget 500HP UrQ project starting this spring. Already purchased quite some parts + car and my old 500HP ABY engine will be transplanted into the UrQ :mischeif:

Basically I will convert a 1985 (road tax free ) type 85 coupe quattro into an UrQ. I found it not worth the investment to chop up an original UrQ for a tuned project car.

Wow, I missed out some online opportunities. New job, lots to do for real work

Let me post a few pics.

The 1985 CQ seems to be solid, is a Michele Mouton special edition and has some dents at the front bumper and right C-pillar. I still have to remove bumpers and wings first to confirm it's solid........ Bottom looks very tight so far.

I already received the UrQ wings and one-piece bumpers from Poland. They seem to be of good quality

make sure you remove the bodysealant on the floorpan. Thats where the rust resides....
Will look great with those wings.

O yes, I also found 2 Recaro Classic C seats + almost new brown/black/grey doorcards and back seat

Also got me 2 pairs of VW-Recaro frames that need to be trimmed in order to fit the car.
Next to that I received from Spink a full ABY loom + engine loom.
Via Quattrostyle I also bought a 5-speed UrQ gearbox with Torsen + a rear-diff from a UrQ.

In the coming months I hope to solve the puzzle regarding matching the CQ axles and 5x112mm hubs........ Not sure yet what I need and how I can keep it low-budget
