Bram, that does have nothing to do with my IC. It is just, you dont have any space under the OEM Front Bumper, and also no Air Inlet. For 500HP you will need at least 8-9l exposed IC Volume...Comment

Bram will use an aftermarket one piece bumper, it might leave more room for an IC than an OEM bumper.Comment

There should be a size guide on the website, think you need 8x10 minimum, the cooler size is the most importantComment

CC radiator AND pump do need to cope with the heat. Water coming out of charge cooler isn't that hot, even if it drops air temp to ambient (as we all know, water needs much much more heat energy to heat up as high as air). So you do need as large as possible radiator for your CC and still you might have problems especially in track conditions.Comment

ok, good input here! I will not use the UrQ for track, maybe a few laps around the Ring someday, but mostly traffic light sprints and picking up beautiful chicksCC radiator AND pump do need to cope with the heat. oops, did I say that out loud?
Anyway, the car is just for fun and some blast on the high way. No sprints, nor track races.
Still a big radiator should be possible, maybe in front of the engineComment

Hi Darren. To me it looks like a twin setup adds lag and huge pressure drop. I like the fact that a charge cooler is so small, so the whole intake circuit gets even further shortened, compared to a huge IC.
I guess the charge cooler + CC radiator setup is just a few kilos heavier then your twin IC setup? Have you calculated this beforehand?Comment

The pressure drop is low as the air speed is high due to two smaller IC as opposed to one large one.
I calculated the weight of the CC to be much heavier due to the water radiator, water, header tank (which needs to be large enough so as not to circulate to quickly and warm up), pump and associated pipe work.
To be honest mine was trial and error after reading numerous intercooling books. Thankfully it worked well.... air temp from cruising to full boost only rises by 10 degrees and lag is virtually none existent, my RS4 is much more laggy..
Oh.... I also have water injection on the outlet of the second IC to give it some top end protection..
Hope it helps..

Thanks Darren. What core sizes are the 2 ICs you have mounted? On the pictures they look massive http://www.s2forum.com/forum/showthr...t=13066&page=2Hi,

This could be a solution maybe: http://motorgeek.com/viewtopic.php?p...05eee1#p509566
Since I will be using an 016 gearbox I don't think I can position the engine further back, so most likely only a thinner IC will fit at that grill position.Comment
