i love how everyone thinks that whatever dyno chart a person posts up isnt a real dyno.

if i run an a DynoDynamics, they say its BS and is false.
when i run on the Dynojet, you all say "it wasnt real its a Dynojet".
then when i run on a Mustang, the BS starts flying again.

done wasting time here with you w*a*n*k*e*r*s......

Phook - even if the dyno is 20% off - THAT is a serious result for a 2liter motor. Astonishing actually... presume its drinking pure methanol (or E85 or toluene - LOL) and is filled with exotic internals so it can sustain crazy boost levels. Amazing... although how it ever gets traction would be another miracle.

No disrespect to any of the engineering that's ever gone into Ed's motor but his hp figures have always been questionable with respect to his quarter mile times.

As at 900 something WHP he only ever ran 10.6 on the quarter. Something we achieve here in a front wheel drive car with 380HP calculated at the Flywheel and a 125hp shot of nitrous. In a heavier 4WD car we run 10.6 @ 580hp calculated at the flywheel. In Germany 1056hp calculated Flywheel which is somewhere in the 900whp bracket they run 9.2.

Not having a POP at anyone or their figures they just don't add up.

As for the dual cam pulley conversion you can buy them of the shelf in South Africa where they run them on their AEB engines. We personally decided against it as we use our car as a proper street driven one.

From vwvortex: Yesterday while on the dyno the car made 1015whp@30psi

1015whp should be close to 1200 in the engine and sounds high for such low boost?
Has to be like 400 N/A and not many 2L 4cyl can make that. Impressive if it's correct

Ed cant drive, plain and simple. thats the reasoning.

he has finally went 9.95. but he thinks he was launching @ !950 whp....

he has lifted more heads than i have. but denies them.

he is a bit arrogant, but not too bad a guy after you talk with him for awhile.

so, where is this info on the dual cam gears in S Africa??

Pm me and I'll forward you an email address of a guy that has access. Personally though we like using the vvt for an extra 500-700rpm powerband.

As for Ed's driving that explains that then lol

What car is this engine in?

We did 263km/h with similar whp and 1150kg quattro.

A friend does steady 280's with his bimmer and similar power on 900kg rwd.

And these differ by 3-4km/h if the car stalls on the launch. Sometimes even less. You see, if You stall, You move a meter or two. Then You hit the throttle and go through gears so You accelerate 397m, instead of 402m. Time can be whatever, traps stay pretty much equal.

In that case also the speed can be whatever.
