    Spikemoto,

Thank goodness you got a better camera.

Not sure why no one has volunteered a possible cause.

I can't really other than to make to naive comments, I presume it is not the ignition switch behind the key?

Also with my limited understanding, and I know you've replaced the MAF, but I thought the MAF didn't like cone filters because of the oil drawn out of them. I know the wires in the MAF heat up to burn off contaminants, but maybe they can't deal with all an oiled cone filter might give compared to a oem paper element in an oem Airbox?

Hopefully others with more experience will post their more informative / accurate suggestions.

The shop spoils you, makes it easy for you. Not jealous at all from my wet cold gravel driveway.

What I really posted for was to suggest changing the orange turn signal bulbs to chrome finish to loose the orange reflection inside the lamp housing. Also to blacken the chrome rim of the bonnet grille, it'll look good, especially on a white car with black rims.

    What suspension ?

And also maybe post a side on and three quarter angle shot from the front and the rear to show the car's stance, which looks just right.

Best wishes for a definite cure with the cutting out.

    Kind regards.

Boost leak/air leak? Running rich indicates metered air escaping. Pressure testing would answer that question. Also check the PCV system, old hoses get brittle and leak. An airtight system is pretty important. Regarding coils I have no suggestion as I'm a 3B man.

I suppose this is possible but the peculiar thing is it only cuts out when it seems the engine is making a certain amount of torque.. and not like a misfire or air escaping but rather like the ECU is losing power.

I know I am very spoiled

I appreciate your suggestions. There are actually a lot of little details like this that I still need to address on the car. It has been my daily driver all summer so getting everything done has not been easy

The suspension is an old 2bennett kit. There are not too many options on this side of the pond and this is one that has been around for a while. They consist of Eibach springs and Koni adjustable struts with generic threaded sleeves and collars for height adjustment.

I did pressure test the intake tract between the throttle body and turbo but I suppose there could be some leakage in the breather system? I am running the full AAN set-up which I hear is supposed to be superior.
