so, fastest/quickest AWD 4cyl VW/Audi in North America. 2nd Audi to run 9's in North America (the first was a VR6 Turbo S4).
and first Coupe Quattro to run 9's. (S2 does not count because it is a different car really. maybe a technicality but whatever. we never got an S2 over here so i am going to take that
).
Kevin did some changin of tune stuff, and i didnt even run the 1-2-3 gear map either.... that map was setup to run 3rd gear out to 9400 or so in case this 9 sec pass did not happen. but, it was not needed.
notice Joey lining me up, then giving me the nudge to remember to floor it!!!!!!!!
but this completes the NHRA Class 4 license passes, 7.50 - 9.99. and what a way to do it. with a 9 second pass!
thanks goin out (in no special order) to Integrated Engineering, Double J Motorwerks, Kevin Black / Lugtronic, Brian @ M&B Cylinderhead, A1CVTech, Shannon @ Badway Auto, and others.
thanks for your contributions to this project. now that i am learning how to drive we are seeing some decent results. its gonna get better
first pass 10.22 @ 139. ran throttle @ ~60-70% until 4th gear where i ran 100%. some sort of mental block. then i finally floored it in all gears. VIOLA!!!!
AND:
i won first place in Audi Special interest and $20
i won Best Engine of Show
i won $100 for fastest MPH Watercooled car
i got my 7.50 - 9.99 sec NHRA Class 4 license
and i drove it into the trailer.
winning on every step today at the track. and it goes to show that show cars can be fast and fast cars can look good.
