Yes the old ones are way out! However it was nice to see on the factory tour at Ingolstadt that all the panel work is now laser measured by the robots in manufacture to make them far more acurate.

Q; Are the Gearbox/diff/legs/suspension and subframes the same between the S2 and the V6 coupe?

A while back on ebay there was a guy who would loan for 12 months a jig that would bolt on to the front and rear subframe mounts, then you cut the 320mm out and then slide the rear end up the jig to weld to the front.
It had some real good photos and looked really simple to use, as all the best ideas were.
Off the top of my head, he wanted only £500 for a 12 month loan, which seems a bargain when you think of the work it would save.

it would not be hard or expensive to make that kind of jig to be fair, certainly less than £500

v6 box is 01a.I used 01a on my aan s4 with 1.5 bar boost peak(stock turbo/injectors) and not made any problem.Maybe someone will tell us how much 01a will hold.
Anyway, prop is longer at 01a 5 speed than 01e 6 speed.Again maibe someone will tell us if 01e 5 speed is shorter than 01e 6 speed.
                    Hubs are not the same..

AFAIK all quattro's should be type 85's anyway the floorpan is the same yes.

might be different for the 2-door quattro's. Interesting to know if the first urq's have a 81 or 85 VIN
