The AEL Block I used had the dipstick hole. the rest of the mods must be done there also.
On AEL You need to machine also the flzwheel area for the crankshaft positioning sensor and the speed sensor.

I wish I could if I had the machines and experience. All the machining, bottom end assembly and head work is being done by Westend Performance. I will assemble the head to the block at home when it's all ready to go, I want to have some part in it

Rebuilding the heater/air con box with new foam for the internal flaps. Replacement roof lining works a treat, I peeled away the velour and glued the foam in place with a good quality spray on contact adhesive.
Dishwasher did a great job in cleaning up the box segments.

ThanksI have just sat and red the whole of this thread. The advice and support is tremendous.
You appear to be doing an absolutely stunning and thorough overhaul of the S2 - the colour is great - the black leather seats are great - your Plasma Gauges, 17' wheels do the job nicely and the engine parts are going to be mean when in operation.
Been a pleasure to read - will keep an eye out for the finished job posts!
Best wishes from the UK

Cheers Graham, that's great the thread is being followed by others that love the car. A lot of time is being spent making sure things are done right, so it's in good hands
You'll definitely have to take it for a drive once it's finished mate.Leave a comment:

Pat--The S2 is looking awesome--even people up here who knew how much the S2 meant to me are following the thread. Can't wait to see him (Stu--the car was never tempremental with me and never let me down so it could not be a girl) completed.
