    Audi 80 B2Q 20VT SEDAAN

    Hi
I'd like to show you what i've been doing in my garage for the last 1.5 year.
When I bought it, the car was 80 B2 1.8 90 HP Quattro with 1.6D 54 HP engine, not the best choice for the L5 because of the engine mounts, and all other parts which make the difference between L4 and L5 but from the very beginning it was meant to be completely restored so the main task was to find a healthy body.

So when i bought the car it looked like that:

later on I've taken the car to have a rollcage, respray and some welding and it came back looking like that:

at first I put the car on the side, washed the whole underneath with Karcher, put the WURTH White Isolating Mass and WURTH Protecting Mass.

I know that the cage shold be closer to the pillars but now it's to late to change it I can only blame the 'welder' I also try to buy and use best parts to avoid any further brakedowns or problems
I'm planning the 'wedding' for today or tomorrow, what I still have to buy is:
          oil cooler lines
power steering lines (the b2 lines are too short for aan pump)
          intercooler with all hoses
          fuel pump
          all door and trunk gaskets
          2nd seat with belts
          2,75' or 3' exhaust
and as I hate wires I'll take the car to a friend of mine, who will connect and fire up my car
I also have a custom AAN intake manifold, but at first it should be checked on the flowbench :mischeif:

you need the front subframe for 5 pot, and the chassi brackets for engine... use 3" exos or 3,5" if you can...

As I want to use an original b2 tachometer, I had to replace the tacho drive in my 01a gearbox, and it goes like this:
at first you unfix all these bolts:

                      then you undo these bolts:

uplift one part for about 5 cm:

                      remove the differential:

                      find the tachometer drive:

and take out of the gearbox - then you have a ready replacement set

later on, you put the 01a gearbox on the table, uplift the driveshaft flange and undo 8 bolts:

                      By therealquattron at 2012-04-22
open it and take out the magnet ring:

In the end you have to make a thread in the hole for the tacho drive (what I will do tomorrow

In between I found some dirt / raspings (?) on the magnet:

and also cleaned that, looks much better

                      Guys

                        Hi Guys
So from my side the car is finished, now i brought it to a garage called QuattroService, that is gonna do:
all wire connections + accu in the trunk
                        complete exhaust
                        complete intake
and will check all bolts etc if everytnig works.
So it looked like that when we fitted the engine (with gearbox, now i would do that without the gearbox)

and fitted with a custon intake manifold

but I finally decided to fit the original AAN, later I'll buy the MTM or Wagner

new thermostate 80 dgr Wahler from VR6 AAA engine

                        new gearbox oil

***** - can you tell me what is the proper name for that

                        rear diff Torsen

                        new cambelt wheel

                        new clocks

and new gums for the gas mechanism

the car looked like that while the trip from Wrocław to Kraków

and like this when I was leaving

in the meantime I restore that:

No, I have a mechanical tacho drive.
If you want to fit the electric one you need to have the left set

from any b3 (b4) gearbox with 01A (I'm not sure if 01E) L5 engine. Wish you luck!
