Thanks guys. Gonna miss it but Its given me the kick in the *** to get my avant on the road.
Happened on a road I drive down twice daily for work for the past 4 years. It's an unlit country A road that's constantly got diesel spills due to the the quarry trucks that use it as it passes the local quarry. It was wet, dark and must of hit a patch of diesel just over a brow with a corner and ended up spinning a few times, down a 6ft ditch backwards and into a very wet n muddy field.
Cars totalled. Would of liked to of had it recovered to my work and stripped it. but it would of cost me so I told the recovery company if they took it out for free they could have the car. But I went down the next day after the crash and stripped all the stereo, centre consoles and most of the dash, for the avant, before the recovery truck came
Could of been a hell of a lot worse if it were to happen 10 yards further down as I would of missed the gap in the hedge carved by previous offs and hit some rather large trees.
Walked out without a bruise or scratch, probably wouldn't of if I were driving some French or Chinese tat.Comment
