For standing mile in 2.2T? Possibly, I don't know
He is a great guy though. Very humble, very knowledgeable and always very helpful.

It is always pleasing to see him succeed and push the limits.

For standing mile with Audi, with 2,2t and obviously for urs-cars. I'm not sure about the first one though, there might be some other audi that has gone faster in texas or something, but at least I think he has the european record for audi.

Yeah, he seems like a good guy. I've been trying to ask him to come to finland =)

..and the suspension is still sufficient for 250+ km/h ?

I don't think it's sufficient for 100kmh+ but what can you do? The front suspension is a nightmare and there's a lot to improve on the rear as well..

I've had plans to strip the spring plates on the front struts and mount coilover threads on the struts. But still, there's the major fail combination of anti roll bar and "front control arm". The only way (even in theory) would be to strip the front suspension completely and make a new subframe with triangle control arms or something similiar.. Too much of a hassle for me, I'll go with the original setup. It's enough for what I'm doing with the car.

Mating the subframe to the body of the car made a huge difference and using powerflex urethane bushings on the front suspension further improved the handling.

Wink wink, all who is in the subframe bushing group buy.

Great to meet you here, fellow Holset enthousiast!
Funny, i found your Photobucket account recently and asked Thuppu if he knew more, but in the end could not find your project in a language that i can understand to find the cause for the melted piston pics...

Does your Pro52 have a 10-blade turbine rotor?

I dont have an open, public project story anywhere else, only on a couple of very strictly closed Finnish forums.

Reason for the melted piston was knock, among a few other things.

To be honest, I have no idea if the turbo has 10 or some other number of blades in the turbine. And to be honest, I cant be arsed to check at the moment. I can ask a mate who has a pro52 as well and is not in the car right now.

So there's a bit to update..

Couple of weeks ago I finally managed to complete my quest of 300kmh @ 1 mile. The exact official result is 304,0kmh, but my racelogic had vmax of 304,84kmh. I calculated that the car would've done about 308-309kmh had I not changed to 6th gear.

                              Racelogic data:

I also had the car matte black wrapped a few days before the standing mile event.

                              Better pictures later.

So, now I need to figure out my next goal and have a bit of a breather. 200mph is a bit much with this chassis I think, but perhaps I'll do something else or get another car altogether? We'll see.
