    Audi 90q type85 10vt Project

    Hey guys,

I started this project a while ago,

The idea is to upgrade/refresh the suspension and bushings so the car handles a bit better. But the main part of the project is to swap a 10VT into the 90q. And trying to get some more hp out the engine, without going the 20vt way.
Evently the car get completely stripped and repainted. But first i want to make the car drivable with the 10vt engine and solve the technical problems.

The engine is an 2.1l 10vt with engine code KG 182hp (mechanical lifters). Which is comparable with the WR engine only slight higher compression (8,8:1).
I go to run a standalone ECU because i want get over the K-Jet limitions, the hp goal is 320-350hp.

    Engine:
    - 2.1l 10vt KG
    - Audi Quattro A2 inlet manifold
    - Homemade 3'' SS exhaust

    Suspension:
    - Rebuilt/modified to coilover
    - Rear swaybar
    - Powerflex control arm bushings
    - 034 strut mounts and so on...

    Brakes:
    - Front 288mm with G60 calipers
    - Ferodo DS2500 brakepads

Maybe later; the front brakes to the rear and bigger on the front.

    Interior:
    - Airco
    - Cruisecontrol
    - S2 steeringwheel CAC
    - Recaro Classic's

    Wheels:
    - OZ Futura 7,5x16 with 205/45 tires

There are the parts i have so i need to sort out which turbo/fuelpump etc etc i going to use.

    It's not a S2/RS2 neither an 20VT but i hope it's not a problem.
    Sorry for my bad english...

That's going to be loads of fun once you're finished. That ten valve sound! Good luck with the build.

You car will have a US cousin once completed.

im watching with interest. I've also got a 10v turbo with aftermarket management and was hoping to reach similar power levels.. i think the main issue with the 10v is the exhaust manifold.

That was my first idea, but i think i like the sleeper look more. And the (aftermarket) sunroof must indeed closed, i forgot to mention.

The original struts were send to a company in swiss. Where they modified them. The shocks are special made Koni's yellow. So the hardness (rebound, i think) is adjustable.
The springs are FK's. They are suppose to be fastroad coilovers.

                  Nice

                  Nice project.
I have been doing the same thing my self, but I took a fwd and converted it to
4WD and put a 10V Mc1 engine in it with the KKK24 turbo and Vems.

Sadly the engine didn't survive the first mapping of the car, so hopefully
next weekend the new engine will be started with a Schwitzer S200 turbo instead.

Awesome project, will be followed. This is according to me the best and nicest chassi to build on especially given the weight.

Very nice project and something I'd like to do one day, must be great fun

Had a 200 2.1T KG and it gave lots of fun with it's K26 turbo.
Had it turned up to 1.1 bar, but the front wheels were hopeless for grip.

It's time for a little kick.. The plans has been changed.

The idea is that under the hood it goes more towards the A1/A2 Quattro's. So 10VT with a thick turbo.
And i hope some carbon parts and the Audi sport style camcover.

                              I've collected:
                              A few KG 2.1 10VT blocks
                              Audi Quattro A2 intake manifold
                              Holset HX35
                              01E 5-speed
                              V8 Torsen diff
                              Alu 7A-style flywheel
                              Electric/hydraulic powersteering unit
                              Remanufactured struts
Audi Sport Quattro strut brace and chassis beams
                              3-piece OZ Futura's 16x7, 5
G60 brakes with 288mm discs at the rear
S8 brembo for (323mm discs will be)
                              3inch stainless steel exhaust parts
                              Recaro classics
                              S2 CAC steering
Powerflex wishbone bushes some 034 + chassis stuff

                              24-12-2013

Made today some progress on the alu bushing for the subframe.

                              Some pics of turbo.
