    S2 3b project

im going to start a thread here as i have just removed my engine and over time will be bringing her back to her former glory and some :mischeif: . as of now the engione is being stored for a while as i come up with a plan/price/suppliers list, with wich im hoping i can get help here with because i havnt a clue where to start. the goal is new rings, bearings, headgasket ect .. ect.. also a head overhaul, guides and VSOS. will start uploading pics as i make progress on car and cleaning engine bay in the meantime. and also going to have a go at a COP conversion whilst i have engine out.i will be asking ALOT of questions as its my first such project. goal is 400 + hp.

          Good luck with the rebuild

You'll need to set some goals and draw a line under what you will and wont tackle on this project. If you don't, you'll find it will snowball increasing costs and time the car will be off the road. eBay can be a good source of materials, but you will probably find items like bushes will be best purchased through direct sources to avoid the really cheap and nasty imitations out there!

Ive been very busy with trying to find job and life crap.. and yester day i finally found time/money o get a few bits blasted and zinc'd. ive given him my fron subframe, struts, rollbar, and brake caliper carrierer's. good family run buissnes who restores cars and had a toyota twincam on a rotating dolly being seem welded, well impressed. will post pics of bits when i get them, also does anyone have the part numbers for front wheel bearings for a 91 s2, and the steel bands that are fitted behind the bearing? there almost like a collar with a whole in it for the abs sensor, have no idea what there called sorry.

The front wheel bearings are SKF BAH-0011 AB, (Audi part number is 893 498 624E)
I got mine in cork, from general bearing and seal, using the code Premier BRT1037 which is their pack code for the BAH-0011 AB (I think BRT1036 is for rear coupe)
