Got stuff back from blasting/zinc coating today.. very happy with the work done














thinkiing now what paint i will use.. dosnt have to be $$$$ cause the zinc coating is good quality. getting there slowly ..

Barrets engineering in Middleton, great blokes. Got a good price two which i wont say online but i used to bring stuff to them such as flywheels and various stuff when i was working spanners in Carrigtowhill. i wold have no problem recomending them at all for anything. Going to bring my hubs when i get the bearing's and let them do them too plus pressing of the bearing's, maybe get the drives blasted and zinced two. they have two or three cars down to the bare shell at the moment, twincam, volvo p1800 and another i think ? ill be a returning customer for sure

so what i need from today on , is two wheel bearings, protective rings , 1 abs sensor, plus sleeve. im almost sure those sensors are the same ones on the abs module trailers, will check that out, fitted 100's of them , wabco is wabco and a sensor a sensor right ? plus two shock and a whole poly bush kit for whishbones and roll bar. ill get there slowly then ill go back to the engine again

I used POR15 paint when I did the subframes on the coupe .

Car had alloy mounts fitted front and back at Dialynx. plus other stuff i also found out that the car is in fact not chiped. so happy days shes had an easy life till i got her

The front wheel bearings are SKF BAH-0011 AB, (Audi part number is 893 498 624E)
I got mine in cork, from general bearing and seal, using the code Premier BRT1037 which is their pack code for the BAH-0011 AB (I think BRT1036 is for rear coupe)

how much for bearings ? been ringing. got a good price on MAHLE bearing kits if there any good. i know the name but cant think of what it was i was fitting at the time ?
