So here we go
Before I start I want to thank mike (madpugger) for his input into making me fall in love with these cars.
And to everyone who makes this forum the best place to come day in day out for all the information and support you could need. Can't forget the banter either
So the S2 coupe arrived into my possession needing a lot of tlc to make her stunning. No amount of washing and car detailing could fix those rusty patches, maybe I wasn't measuring the paint deep enough
With a few trips to the ring with mike in his ever evolving S2 I could see the love of these cars and attention by everyone that was around, meeting other Audi nuts and some fab arrange of sport quattros, 80's and S2's and RS2's, I knew which way I wanted the car to end up looking in the end.
Also when on the road trip to Le Mans 2011 dressed up as Mario and luigi, the French took to us tunnel blasting
Was good to meet other forum members who serve a big purpose to us likes of S2central, S2driveruk, and RS2 Americas own Saltinot.
Tom was inspiring the lengths he goes to, just to obtain all the parts for this RS2, his boot was full of goodies hoarded over Europe with John in there rental Audi. Credit to them for putting up with me and mike constantly dressed up as Mario and luigi getting mob every five seconds. But it all worked out, managed to get into the pit lane, dragged into Ferrari, meet Alan mcnish and some sexy blue girls.
The more time I found working on the coupe, the body lines are hypnotic, everything works, never a dull angle to view the car. I know the avant boys will disagree but the S2 line up are fabulous cars!!
When I got the keys had some fun, blasted about I started getting ready for the overhaul on the body.
So got some wings to replace the scabby wings on the car that were getting worse everyday I took it out.

Bumper off and old wings removed, the replacement pair been primed, checks done and fitted to the car.
On a trip down south to see my folks (driving from Aberdeen to surrey) I ended up being pointed in the direction to a well know member Rich (hoffer76) I left his lockup with a heap of goodies
the trip back up north with a focus full with bumpers and parts was an enjoyable 600 mile trip

The RS2 bumper needed some tlc both brackets had snapped along the top, and a crack in the air duct, also a chunk of side tip missing
