    Yes that's correct.

I think this could be moved to another topic though?

I guess the perfect A-Pillar could be taken from both Audi 80 2-door versions yes? I meant early 80 like Tonks put up that sits in Mobile and later one with Audi 90 rear lights section?

As has been said Audi 80 2 door is the best and easiest way to do it. It can be done with a 4 door roof buts its a lot more work. I have sent you a message regarding the technical drawings.

Audi 80 and 90 share the same A-pillar, but ideally you would want a 2-door 80.

Hamish I'm new on here but have been following both your builds with awe and can only say your work is superb! I hope to start work on a S1E2 replica build very shortly as well. Some posts say an A80 and some an A90 for the correct window rake and doors. Which should it be? Both these models are very scarce downunder. Any other way to do it?

In your post #33 you mention technical drawings from Jay Birchenall - any chance of getting a copy please mate?

Keep up the good work and can't wait for your next update!

I stand corrected... As ever though H, great attention to detail...

Normally the bar is run across the top of the tunnel. This build is a bit different though as its basically turned into a spaceframe chassis.

    Probably FWD to save weight!

Looking good Hamish. Really like the idea of the jack points and bar between sides is that bar a standard thing in modern wrc cars?

    What about the exhaust?
The prop will be below the bar, that bar is the same floorpan line as a standard car, AFAI can see...
